Good Character

At a Western Oregon softball game against Central Washington Sara, a player from Western Oregon, was put up to bat. At this particular game she hit a home run. It was her first home run ever in her softball career. She ran to first base then she was fine. Then suddenly as she was running to second she tore a muscle in her leg making her unable to run. Her coach Pam Knox asked if they could do anything about it but she couldn't. Players Liz and Mallory from the opposing team decided to step up. They asked if they could carry Sara to home base. Although the umpire was confused it was allowed. They carried her to every base all the way to home. Central Oregon won that game. Although Sara was unable to continue playing she was happy she made her first home run with the help of Liz and Mallory.
