Student Success Statement: M.L. King Jr.

"Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education."
M. L. King Jr.
This quote is trying to say that just learning isn't education. Without character there is no education. Character is what can make or break an education. If someone is learning hateful things from someone with a bad character they won't be learning anything good. For example, a child with a parent who has a bad character will learn only hateful or bad things as opposed to a child who has parents with good character who will most likely learn good things. Also without good character you will not be open minded and will therefore refuse to learn certain things.
